The foundation was established in 2002, with the Dalai Lama's endorsement and advice, by a core founding group including long-time friends of the Dalai Lama and members of the Silicon Valley business community. We have received a letter from His Holiness with an invitation to all to join us in our work. Participation is open to all, and we warmly welcome anyone who wishes to support the Dalai Lama's vision for a better world to join with us.
